Janetta Harvey is an author and campaigner against puppy farming and founder of the charity, Schnauzerfest. Alongside a small, and incredibly dedicated team of volunteers, Janetta steers the charity’s grant-giving activities to support animal rescues located around the UK.
She is the author of several books for adults and children. In 2014 her first book on dogs, Saving Susie-Belle was featured in a national newspaper and in 2017, her children’s book Saving Maya was chosen as the RSPCA’s top book for World Book Day. In addition to her books and blog, Janetta regularly contributes to a variety of publications to raise awareness about puppy farming and animal welfare. She has appeared on television and radio and maintains an active social media presence with the goal that one day she will see the cruel, exploitative breeding industry come to an end.
Janetta was born and raised in Surrey and today lives full-time with her husband, dogs and cat in south-west France having travelled regularly between there and the UK for two decades.
